Father's, Fourth, Food and Fun

I've officially been blogging for a year now...and I think it is safe to say that I am NO GOOD!! So much for my New Year's Resolution. I thought I was doing well for awhile there...but I can't believe it's been almost TWO MONTHS since I've last posted anything!! I know I know...I'm such a slacker!

Since the last you heard from me, Brian celebrated his first Father's Day!! My heart melts every time I see him with Ashley, he is madly in love with her and Ashley is very lucky to have such a fun daddy!! (Rainey insisted on being in the picture...but refused to smile.)

Fourth of July!!!! It was a hot one, but we got through it! Ashley helped me make a yummy fruit salad and we celebrated with a family BBQ and swimming. Ashley has also been getting the hang of eating baby food with a spoon! She's doing really well, and I haven't found anything that she just doesn't like or refuses to eat. I know she is a bit on the chubby side...everyone (yes, even COMPLETE strangers) feel the need to comment on her weight, but the doctors say she is great, there's nothing to worry about and enjoy!! Personally, I prefer a chubby baby over a skinny one. She is the cutest thing I've ever seen, has the best personality and is the easiest baby I have ever met!! We have a lot of fun together!!

Ashley was invited to a couple of birthday parties just recently! She had a lot of fun at them and wished both girls a very happy birthday!! Here she is at a pool party for her 3 year old friend Kadie!! It was one of the hottest days of the year and she LOVED it when I poured water on her head to cool her off!! Thanks Kadie...we had a lot of fun!!

Check out these amazing cakes Sadie had at her first birthday party!!! They are individual cakes and yes...all edible!!! The clay pot...edible, they were unbelievable...so creative!!

And finally a few pictures of Ashley that I just couldn't go without posting. She is growing up so fast, it's exciting to watch, but I am trying to take in every moment. I can't believe she is almost crawling and already getting her first tooth. Before I know it, we will be celebrating her 1st birthday!
